Triarchy launches crowdfunding campaign for algae-dyed jeans
In California, a jeans brand using algae-based pigments aims to raise $365,630 with a crowdfunding campaign on FrontFundr. The company—named Triachy because it was founded by three siblings—told Sourcing Journal that about 45% of the funds would be earmarked for technology development, including an innovative post-weave digital printing technique that cuts water use by over 90%, eliminates toxic effluents, and lowers cost. The rest of the funds would be used on expenses like marketing and staffing.
The company said investors would be paid back either when the company is acquired by a larger brand or via dividends. Any acquisition deal would have to be with a company that shares its commitment to sustainability.
“With strong traction and a proven record of leadership and integrity, Triarchy represents a compelling opportunity for acquirers seeking both cultural and environmental alignment,” the company says.
The minimum investment is $250. The campaign can be accessed at https://www.frontfundr.com/triarchy through May 20, 2026.
