Sawgrass LNG completes first shore-to-ship LNG bunkering at Port Everglades
In the United States, Sawgrass LNG & Power has completed the first shore-to-ship liquefied natural gas bunkering operation at Port Everglades, fueling the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection vessel Ilma.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the U.S. Coast Guard, Broward Sheriff’s Office, and port authorities, expanding Port Everglades’ lower-carbon fuel options for cruise and cargo customers.
Port Everglades assistant director of energy and innovation Neil Kutchera said the facility now has LNG available for both landside and waterside delivery.
