In California, you could get paid for participating in Genos’ human exome data gathering project. Human genome sequencing costs have gone down in recent years making it more affordable for people to get information on their genetics and their likelihood of getting certain cancers or diseases. But Genos is offering participants payment in exchange for their DNA data, more specifically exomes, which are helpful in discovering diseases. So how much will you get for your DNA information? Stay tuned, as Genos, which recently got a $6 million investment from NantOmics, said it won’t be announced for another few months when they make the official launch.
