New Italian pet food Coolty Meat made from cultivated hamster meat
In Italy, pet food brand FORZA10 has launched a wet dog food containing cultivated meat from Czech company BeneMeat. Dubbed Coolty Meat, the food was launched at Interzoo 2026 and is the first such food available in Europe. According to FORZA10, BeneMeat’s meat, which is cultivated from hamster cells, makes up 26% of the Coolty Meat. Hamster meat was chosen because of its amino acid profile and low allergenic potential.
BeneMeat’s product is produced without antibiotics, hormones, preservatives, and fetal bovine serum. No hamsters were slaughtered in the process.
