Malaysia’s FatHopes Energy and Vietnam’s PVOIL team up for sustainable aviation fuel production
In Singapore, TN Global reported that FatHopes Energy, a Malaysian waste-based feedstock solutions for SAF firm, has entered into a strategic partnership with PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) to establish Vietnam’s first nationwide used cooking oil (UCO) collection ecosystem for sustainable aviation fuel production.
FatHopes said that the partnership lays the foundation for a new circular economy that transforms used cooking oil from households, restaurants, industrial kitchens, seafood processing plants and similar sources into certified renewable feedstock for SAF and other advanced biofuels.
The partnership brings together FatHopes Energy’s expertise in UCO collection operations, digital traceability technologies and global feedstock supply chain development with PVOIL’s nationwide operational network, comprising approximately 1,000 petrol stations supported by logistics, transportation and warehousing infrastructure, according to the report.
The initiative will commence with an initial rollout in Ho Chi Minh City before expanding progressively across the country, the report added.
