Kyrgyzstan begins construction of waste-to-energy plant
In Kazakhstan, Kazinform International News Agency reported that work has officially started on a modern waste-to-energy plant in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, following a meeting between Osh Mayor Zhanarbek Akaev and Dai Dao, CEO of the Chinese company Junxin Huanbao KG Invest.
Once operational, the facility is expected to recycle up to 310,000 tons of waste annually while generating electricity. Officials emphasized that the plant will fully comply with environmental standards and will not release harmful emissions.
The report also stated that the project is designed to improve Osh’s environmental conditions, modernize infrastructure, and introduce advanced waste recycling technologies.
