Golden Pass LNG produces first LNG at Sabine Pass

In Texas, Golden Pass LNG said it has achieved first production of liquefied natural gas from Train 1 at its Sabine Pass Terminal, the first step toward full operations at a three train export project. Golden Pass said it anticipates beginning to export LNG to global customers in the second quarter of 2026.

The company put the project’s scale at 18.1 million tons per year across three liquefaction trains and said the terminal includes five 155,000 cubic meter LNG storage tanks and two marine berths to accommodate the largest LNG carriers in the world.
