Wallenius SOL boosts B100 use to comply with FuelEU rules

In Sweden, Wallenius SOL switched one vessel to Advanced FAME (B100) and are extending the same approach to its B-Class vessels, supported by regular biofuel deliveries at Terneuzen incompliance with new FuelEU rules.

Replacing conventional fuel with biofuel directly reduces the GHG intensity of the energy consumed and creates a compliance surplus. Through FuelEU Maritime’s flexibility mechanisms, including pooling, banking and borrowing, this surplus can support the compliance trajectory of our wider fleet.
