Vietnam’s Dung Quat ethanol plant resumes production
In Vietnam, Viet News Agency reports that after a long shutdown, Vietnam’s Dung Quat bio-ethanol plant resumed operations in early 2026 and produced its first batch of E100 ethanol. Operated by BSR-BF, the restart followed maintenance and repairs completed through a partnership signed in 2025. The plant has reached about 75% capacity and aims to achieve full capacity by April, producing roughly 330 cubic meters daily. Its initial shipment has already supported the national E10 gasoline program. The restart is expected to strengthen ethanol supply, support wider biofuel adoption, and enhance national energy security.
