Vans steps up its biobased game with Premium SF Moc Low
The shoe incorporates Vans’ Sola Foam ADC (All-Day Comfort) insole, which contains at least 30% biobased polyurethane foam derived partially from plant-based feedstocks. The material is USDA Certified Biobased, providing a renewable-content component in an otherwise conventional footwear construction. In the Vans shoe, the biobased PU is used specifically in the cushioning system, rather than as a replacement for all of the shoe’s synthetic materials.
The sneaker features a mixed-material upper with suede, a lace-up closure and a low-profile moccasin-inspired design. Its vulcanized construction and waffle outsole retain elements of Vans’ traditional skate-shoe aesthetic. Premium SF Moc Low is available in Light Brown/Brown, Black/Black and Dark Brown colorways for $100.
