Uruguay reaches 297,000 hectares with rapeseed, carinata and camelina
In Uruguay, El Telegrafo reported that the total area sown with rapeseed, carinata and camelina in Uruguay reached 297,000 hectares.
Rapeseed was the predominant crop, accounting for 85% of the area, followed by carinata with 12% and camelina with 3%. It was also noted that 40% of the area was sown with hybrid seeds.
The departments of Soriano and Río Negro led in sown area, each with 17% of the total, followed by Paysandú with 14%. Together, these three departments accounted for 48% of the national area. San José and Durazno also stood out, both with 9%, while the remaining departments accounted for 34% of the area.
