UAE to launch $1 billion green hydrogen platform to build clean fuel value chain
In India, BioEnergy Times reported that Abu Dhabi-based Innovation Platform Capital (iPC), in partnership with Intelligent Investment Holdings, is set to launch a new green hydrogen platform in the UAE with an initial investment of $1 billion.
The first phase of the project will focus on building a complete value chain for clean fuel, covering renewable power generation, hydrogen production, and its conversion into green ammonia and other fuel solutions, according to the report.
The platform aims to supply green hydrogen to refineries and industrial clusters, provide cooling solutions for energy-intensive data centers, and produce green ammonia for exports as well as use in the shipping sector, the report added.
The partners plan to launch a dedicated investment fund to support early-stage development, engineering work and strategic partnerships as the project moves into the construction phase.
