Those Vegan Cowboys crowdfunds $3M for cow-free casein
The company said that while the fundraise was not necessary from a capital injection standpoint, it is important to “building a movement around animal-free dairy” and growing the “‘S.T.A.C.K. – Stainless Alliance of Cow Keepers’”.
According to Vegconomist, Those Vegan Cowboys was founded in 2020 and is developing animal-free casein, the milk protein that gives cheese its taste, melt, and stretch. With the extra funding, the company can push multiple cheese and casein prototypes forward simultaneously, shortening development time and amplifying their influence.
