Telmes wins contract for hydrogen plant in Calabria

In the UK, Fuel Cells Works reported that Telmes, a company in the design and implementation of electrical safety and efficiency solutions, has been awarded a contract for the construction of a hydrogen production, storage, and refueling facility at the Cosenza Vaglio Lise railway depot, managed by Ferrovie della Calabria.

The planned activities include the construction of electrical systems, lighting, and grounding, and the supply and installation of medium and low voltage electrical panels, according to the report.

The facility, located in the southeast area of ​​the depot, will be used to refuel hydrogen-powered trains and buses.

The system includes two hydrogen dispensers for trains to ensure service continuity during maintenance of one of the two, and a hydrogen dispenser for buses. The project is complemented by a renovation and expansion of the railway infrastructure to accommodate and support the new hydrogen trains, thus increasing the depot’s operational capacity.
