Syensqo unveils new biosurfactant
In Belgium, Syensqo has introduced Rhodasurf® B7 UP, a natural laureth-7 surfactant that enables more sustainable liquid laundry detergents and hard surface care formulations. The product is manufactured at Syensqo’s ethoxylation facility in Moerdijk, the Netherlands, which recently received ISCC PLUS mass-balance certification for delivering over 90% lower net CO₂ footprint compared to conventional surfactants, with no reformulation required.
“Rhodasurf® B7 UP is produced using bio-circular, upcycled ethylene oxide feedstocks,” Benjamin Leleu, Syensqo Global Marketing Manager, Consumer Care, said in a press statement. “Compatible with Ecocert and Ecolabel certifications, this new product helps fast-moving consumer goods companies and private label manufacturers respond to growing consumer demand for more natural, lower-carbon products.”
