Sunoil Biodiesel approved for Belgian market

September 3, 2026 |

In Belgium, Ship and Bunker reports Sunoil Biodiesel has received approval to supply sustainable biofuels in Belgium, expanding the European markets where the Netherlands-based producer can operate. The company produces biofuels from waste-based feedstocks such as used cooking oil at its Emmen facility and is already active in the ARA marine-fuel market. Sunoil recently partnered with Verde Marine Energy and IJsselland Biofuels to supply B100 marine biofuel and has also converted a Dutch inland barge to operate on 100% biodiesel. The expansion strengthens Sunoil’s European distribution network for certified sustainable fuels.
