Soybean crush and corn ethanol use strengthen
In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports soybean processing and corn use for ethanol both increased in July, reflecting supportive margins and solid demand. The USDA reported soybean crush at 222 million bushels, up 4 million from June and 17 million from July 2025. Corn used for ethanol reached 474.741 million bushels, increasing 2% month over month and 4% year over year. Ethanol demand remains an important component of domestic corn consumption, while higher soybean processing pushed soybean oil and meal inventories above expectations.
