Platts to expand daily prices for EU GO biomethane feedstocks
These assessments will provide greater transparency to the growing spot trade via the AIB Hub that has been supported by an increase in new member countries, including the joining of established legacy biomethane markets. The AIB aggregates national registry data from each AIB member country and has been expanding rapidly, with Denmark and Germany expected to join the Netherlands, Spain, Czechia, France, the Baltic states, among many others in the coming years.
Platts first proposed this launch on Oct. 9.
These assessments will reflect the most competitive value for European biomethane certificates from unsubsidized manure and unsubsidized waste feedstocks originating from countries connected to the AIB hub.
