Platts drops Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia and PME/CPO daily price assessment
In Singapore, Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has discontinued its Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia daily price assessment and the associated PME versus Crude Palm Oil assessment, effective Feb. 25, 2026. The final publication date s of the Biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia weekly average price (AAVSV04) and monthly average price (AAVSV03) will be on Feb. 27 and March 1, respectively.
The discontinuation follows the observation of reduced international trading activity of palm oil methyl ester (PME), amid a decline in demand from destination countries, such as those in Europe, and strong domestic demand in producing countries.
