Petrobras chooses Topsoe as tech provider for SAF and renewable diesel
In Brazil, Topsoe has signed an agreement with Petrobras to deliver technology and services for a potential facility at Petrobras’ Boaventura Energy Complex, located in Itaboraí, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The project will be based on Topsoe’s HydroFlex® technology, proprietary equipment and catalysts to enable the production of SAF and renewable diesel. Once operational, the facility will process different types of vegetable oils, waste materials and animal fat as feedstocks. Once operational, the facility will be one of the largest SAF plants in Brazil.
