Peninsula delivers bio-LNG to Royal Caribbean at Cádiz
In Spain, marine fuel supplier Peninsula delivered bio-LNG to Royal Caribbean’s new Legend of the Seas at the Port of Cádiz in its first bio-LNG bunkering there, expanding its alternative-fuel supply into the Spanish port.
Nacho de Miguel, Head of Alternative Fuels and Sustainability at Peninsula, said, “As cruise operators introduce increasingly advanced vessels, our focus remains on delivering safe, reliable and efficient fuel supply, aligned with evolving operational and environmental demands.”
Royal Caribbean is incorporating lower-carbon fuel options through its SEA the Future sustainability program. Legend of the Seas is the third ship in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class, currently the world’s largest cruise ship class. Peninsula has now supplied bio-LNG to all three Icon Class vessels.
