IEA takes over as Facilitator of Biofuture Platform

In Paris, the International Energy Agency has taken over administration of a consortium of 20 countries working to accelerate the use of renewable technologies in transportation, chemicals, and plastics.

The Biofuture Platform, launched in 2016, has been working with IEA on developing technologies and policies.  Assigning IEA as Facilitator is expected to reinforce the Platform’s efforts in bioenergy.

Biofuture Platform members include Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Morocco, Mozambique, the Netherlands, Paraguay, the Philippines, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.
