In Denmark, biobased packaging company Field Advice is looking to expand into the Mideast market.

The company signed a memorandum of agreement with Dubai’s Alpha Sky to supply the region with disposable and biodegradable food packaging made from renewable sources like bamboo, palm leaf, sugarcane fiber, and starch. The agreement covers restaurants, airlines, hotels, and retail establishments.

Ayman Al Hilali, CEO of Alpha Sky, tells the Saudi Gazette that mobile platforms are increasing demand for takeaway and food delivery—as well as disposable food containers. “We believe that our food containers are the answer to the demand for packaging that is sustainable and not harmful to the people and the environment.”
