In Switzerland, YourSaint is launching a hangover cure just in time for the festively boozy holiday season.

Hangovers occur when the liver breaks down alcohol into acetaldehyde, which “drains your body of antioxidants, B vitamins, and other vital nutrients,” YourSaint says. The company says its €39.90 ($47) elixir of vitamins, minerals, and liver-cleansing ingredients—from grape seeds, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, and taurine—comes in drops or “shot” form and should be consumed an hour before drinking.

Kaplan Herald reports that ginger relieves digestive issues and prevents prostaglandins and leukotriene, while grape seeds contain antioxidants and shiitake mushrooms replenish B vitamins lost to alcohol’s diuretic effect. Taurine fights inflammation and contains Vitamin C, a free-radical blocker.

However, one doctor interviewed by Kaplan Herald said the best way to deal with a hangover is “not to get one in the first place.”
