In New York, singer/songwriter Billie Eilish has worn a corset made from multiple renewable materials on Vogue’s first-ever video cover.

The “Bad Guy” and “Ocean Eyes” singer sported a top from Balmain’s spring/summer 2023 collection that is made from paper, tree bark, banana leaf, raffia, wood, and recycled fabrics.

In an accompanying article, Eilish discussed her plans for her own fashion line. “I shouldn’t be making any products. I shouldn’t be selling anything. It’s just more sh*t to go into the landfill one day. I know that. But no one’s going to stop wearing clothes. No one’s going to stop making stuff. So I just do it in the best way I possibly can.”

Eilish is well-known for her environmental activism, having famously negotiated with Oscar de la Renta to wear the fashion house to her hosting gig at the 2021 Met Gala if it agreed to stop selling fur.
