In Oregon, Shwood Eyewear has released the CAMP line of sunglasses, which are partially biobased and sport a National Parks theme. The line includes four styles—Arches, Crater Lake, Glacier and Joshua Tree—that retail for $79. The plant-based frames invoke the colors of famous National Parks sites, like the shade of blue of Crater Lake or the rust-red of Utah’s Arch.

Shwood also gives 5% of proceeds to respective nonprofits, like Friends of Crater Lake.  “It’s really about the parks, the customers who visit the park, and the connection there,” Schwood’s Taylor Murray tells Willamette week. “When we’re working with these smaller nonprofits…$1,000, $5,000 or $10,000 to them is a really big deal.”
