In Brazil, Brazilian Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) said that 993.6 million liters (262.5m gallons) have been contracted in the 62th biodiesel auction.

Of these, 992.6 million liters were for compulsory mixing, with 98% of this volume coming from producers holding the Social Fuel label, which gives producers incentives to source raw materials from small farms. The average price was R $ 2,438 / L, without considering the Petrobras margin, and the total value traded reached the level of R $ 2.42 billion, reflecting an average discount of 18.27% when compared to the reference maximum price (R $ 2,984 / L).

Biodiesel Auctions are intended to comply with Law 13.263, published in the DOU on 03/24/16, which establishes at 10% the minimum mandatory percentage of biodiesel added to the diesel fuel sold to the final consumer (B10), within thirty-six months after the date of enactment of the Law.
