In South Korea, Swanicoco is now one of the South Korea’s leading cosmetics companies and is expanding into Malaysia with its biobased skincare products. Instead of artificial chemicals, the cosmetic company uses fermentation processes and natural bio-ingredients. It integrates biotechnology with botanicals and Korean medicinal herbs to improve skin elasticity and skin regeneration.

Founder Sung Chun-sun created the company in 2003 to help solve her family’s sensitive skin needs using naturally-fermented soaps, and then evolving to toners, lotions and more. Kevin Hyun, Swanicoco’s general manager, told Star2 that they have the “only brand trademarked with a special anti-ageing fermentation process.” Swanicoco’s products are currently only sold at Watson stores and Watson online.
