Bamboo flooring company Kanger International and Forest Research Institute Malaysia have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a commercial-scale bamboo plantation in Malaysia; develop improved bamboo products and manufacturing processes; and research new uses and products.

Kanger says it is looking to diversify its product mix.
