In Missouri, agricultural technology company Benson Hill Biosystems received a grant and partnership agreement from the National Corn Growers Association. The grant amount was not disclosed. We covered Benson’s CropOS in the Digest’s Slide Guide this week and their innovative technology to help any size organization improve their crop genetics, but now with this new grant and partnership, they will be able to work directly with NCGA’s more than 40,000 corn farmers on innovative corn genetics. NCGA corn farmers can utilize CropOS to better plan what hybrids they should plant in their fields based on desired criteria they are looking for, while Benson Hill can use the grant funding to more quickly develop and breed new corn hybrids and improve its data set and analytical power.
