Holiferm, Organica merge to accelerate biobased cleaning products
In the United Kingdom, Holiferm and Organica UK have announced a merger that brings together Holiferm’s biosurfactant innovation and manufacturing with Organica’s formulation and finished cleaning product capability. The deal creates a combined business spanning ingredient development, advanced applications, product manufacturing, and commercialization.
As one entity, Holiferm will develop and manufacture nature-derived biosurfactants using proprietary fermentation technology. Organica will formulate and manufacture biodegradable, non-hazardous household and cleaning products for established UK and international brands.
The two businesses have already collaborated since 2023. Sadorp, a consumer product goods investor and supplier, remains an integral commercial partner to the combined business. Organica was advised by Debretts and Franklins; Holiferm was advised by Brown Rudnick.
