Grain harvest in Brazil could reach 356.3 million tons in 2025/26, Conab says

April 20, 2026 |

In Brazil, the Brazilian government stated that grain production in the 2025/26 crop year could reach 356.3 million tons.

The data is from the 7th Grain Survey for the current cycle, recently released by the National Supply Company (Conab). The estimated volume represents an increase of 4.1 million tons compared to the 2024/25 season and an increase of 2.9 million tons compared to the 6th Survey published the previous month. If the result is confirmed, this will be a new record in the volume to be harvested by Brazilian producers.

The area sown in the current cycle should register a growth of 2%, projected at 83.3 million hectares, while productivity should increase from 4,310 kilos per hectare in the last crop year to 4,276 kilos per hectare in the 2025/26 crop year.

“The results of the 2025/26 harvest show the investment that the federal government has been making through the harvest plans, both for commercial agriculture and for family farming. We had a very positive result from the first corn harvest, with more than 3 million tons harvested, which are being harvested and finalized now, and we have very high expectations regarding the second corn harvest,” analyzes the interim president of Conab, Sílvio Porto.
