Global waste-to-energy market to reach $56 billion by 2032, research finds
In Oregon, Allied Market Research reported that the global waste-to-energy (WtE) market is expected to reach $56 billion by 2032, up from $35.6 billion in 2022.
The study showed that the market is forecast to expand at a CAGR of 4.7% from 2023 to 2032.
“The market growth is driven primarily by demand for renewable energy, increasing stringency in environmental regulations, growing awareness of environmental problems and the need for sustainable waste management techniques to repair an unhealthy ecosystem,” Allied said.
“Asia-Pacific is the fastest-growing region. With a 5.1% CAGR which will allow development to continue for some time into the future driven by rapid urbanization and industrial production,” it added.
