Gas Malaysia and Wasco Greenergy to study industrial use of biomass-fired steam systems
In Malaysia, The Edge Malaysia reports Gas Malaysia and Wasco Greenergy signed an MOU to study biomass-fired steam systems for industrial use in Peninsular Malaysia. The partnership will evaluate on-site, centralized, and hybrid biomass–natural gas solutions to improve cost efficiency and support lower-carbon energy adoption. The study will assess demand, locations, feedstock supply, and scalable business models. Both companies aim to align with regional decarbonization trends and Malaysia’s significant biomass potential from agricultural waste.
