Ethanol and DDGS exports surged in August

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports ethanol exports reached a five-month high of 211.8 million gallons in August, up 6% from July as global demand for lower-carbon fuels strengthened. Canada remained the largest market, followed by the European Union and United Kingdom. For the first eight months of 2026, U.S. ethanol exports totaled 1.62 billion gallons, 12% above the same period in 2025. DDGS exports were even stronger: August shipments reached 1.3 million metric tons, the highest monthly volume in 11 years and 18% above July. Mexico, Indonesia and South Korea were the leading DDGS markets.
