ESSA puts SAF project on hold as It reassesses market conditions
In Indonesia, Indonesia Business Post reported that PT ESSA Industries Indonesia has suspended development of its SAF project as it reassesses market conditions and investment priorities, while reaffirming its long-term commitment to low-carbon businesses.
The decision, effective July 27, 2026, was made by its subsidiary, PT ESSA SAF Makmur, following what management described as a comprehensive evaluation of strategic considerations and prevailing market conditions.
ESSA stressed that the move is a temporary suspension rather than a cancellation of the project, according to the report.
“The decision is based on a comprehensive evaluation of strategic factors and current market conditions,” the company said in a material disclosure submitted to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
