Enovos approves Luxembourg green hydrogen project, construction to begin in 2026

June 18, 2026 |

In India, BioEnergy Times reported that Enovos has approved the final investment decision (FID) for the Luxembourg Hydrogen Valley (LuxHyVal) project, marking the transition of the green hydrogen initiative from the planning stage into implementation.

The project will establish a 5 MW electrolyzer powered by renewable electricity to produce green hydrogen for industrial use and mobility applications within Luxembourg.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, while commissioning of the facility is targeted for 2027, according to the report.

LuxHyVal forms part of the European Union’s Horizon Europe program and is aimed at reducing Luxembourg’s dependence on imported grey hydrogen by creating domestic green hydrogen production capacity, the report added.
