DHL Express, Malaysia Aviation Group partner to use SAF

March 22, 2026 |

In India, BioEnergy Times reported that DHL Express has signed an agreement with Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) to supply sustainable aviation fuel for its airline operations, as part of efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

The initiative is expected to cut around 300 tons of lifecycle carbon emissions in 2026 compared to the previous year, according to the report.

The agreement falls under DHL’s GoGreen Plus program, launched in 2023, which allows customers to reduce indirect emissions linked to transportation and logistics. The service operates on a “book and claim” system, where emission reductions from SAF use are credited to customers, even if their shipments are not directly transported using the fuel, according to the report.

DHL has secured SAF supply through agreements with partners including BP, Neste, Cosmo Energy and Cathay Group.

Under the new agreement, MAG will use SAF for inbound and outbound air freight handled by DHL Express across key trade routes covering the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific, the report added.
