In Brazil, World Grain reported that Brazil’s total grain production for 2025-26 is forecast to reach 358 million tons, up 5.7 million tons (1.6%) year on year, according to the latest forecast from the National Supply Company (Conab).

In its eighth Grain Harvest Survey released May 14, Conab said the production, if realized, would be a record harvest driven by good performances for soybeans, corn and sorghum.

With 98.3% of soybean area harvested, Conab is forecasting production at 180.1 million tons, up 0.5% from its April outlook and 8.6 million tons higher (5%) than 2024-25. It would be the seventh increase in the past 10 seasons, according to the report.

Exports of the oilseed are seen following the positive harvest figures, with shipments projected to reach 116 million tons, a 7.25% increase compared to the previous season, Conab said.
