Conab now forecasts a record corn harvest for Brazil in 2025/26
In Brazil, UOL reported that Brazil’s corn production for 2025/26 was estimated at a record 141.73 million tons, after the National Supply Company (Conab) raised its projection by about 1.5 million tons compared to the June survey, with results from the ongoing harvest.
Until last month, Conab was still projecting a drop compared to the record harvest registered in the previous cycle, estimated at 141.2 million tons, according to the report.
The adjustment to the forecast was made amidst the harvesting process of the second crop, which is now estimated at 109.43 million tons, compared to 107.86 million in the survey released the previous month, driven by volumes obtained in Mato Grosso, the main producing state.
