Chimbusco completes first bonded B24 bunkering in Shenzhen
In China, Manifold Times reports Chimbusco Marine Bunker’s Shenzhen unit supplied 1,300 metric tonnes of B24 marine biofuel to COSCO Shipping’s Xin Chi Wan at Shekou Container Terminal on July 6, completing its first bunkering operation since receiving a local Shenzhen license.
The fuel was delivered under a cross-customs direct supply model coordinated with Shenzhen and Gongbei customs officials and maritime authorities. B24 marine biofuel typically consists of 24 percent biofuel blended with conventional marine fuel.
The Shenzhen company is part of Zhuhai Chimbusco Petroleum, a subsidiary of China Marine Bunker (PetroChina). Chimbusco said it plans to use its new license to expand bonded marine fuel sales in Shenzhen and improve its bunkering procedures and services.
