Brazil’s 2025/26 soybean harvest reaches 75% of area, AgRural says
In Brazil, Reuters reported that Brazilian farmers had harvested 75% of their 2025/26 soybean crop as of March 26, agribusiness consultancy AgRural said, up 7 percentage points from the previous week but below the 82% reported a year earlier.
Fieldwork is now focused on Rio Grande do Sul state and in the region known as Matopiba, which includes the states of Maranhao, Tocantins, Piaui and Bahia, AgRural said.
Rains prevented the machinery from making faster progress last week, it added.
The consultancy also revised its forecast for the 2025/26 soybean harvest to 178.4 million metric tons, up from the previous estimate of 178 million tons.
