Biofuels Digest Index rises to 79.42 as ethanol equities gain

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, rose 1.65 percent to 79.42 as ethanol equities gained. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) jumped 5.98 percent to $15.60, while Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) escalated by 4.88 percent to $29.90. Among other equities, Renewable Energy Group (REGI) was up 2.71 percent to $11.77. Overall, advances led declines 11 to 4 for the day.
