Biofuels Digest Index edges up to 78.13 as chemicals rise

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, edged up 0.22 percent to 78.13 as chemicals rose. For the day, Biofuel Energy (BIOF) plunged 15.41 percent to $7.41, while Metabolix (MBLX) advanced 6.05 percent to $1.05. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) jumped 6.17 percent to $3.44. Overall, declines and advances were even for the day.
