Biofuels Digest Index advances to 63.89 as ethanol equities recover

The Biofuels Digest Index, an index of publicly traded biofuels stocks, gained 0.57 percent to 63.89 as ethanol equities recovered. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) soared 16.61 percent to $3.30, while Metabolix (MBLX) fell 9.52 percent to $0.76. Among other equities, Ceres dropped 5.65 percent to $1.67 after Q3 earnings were released. Overall, advances led declines 2 to 1 for the day.
