Brenntag, Jingkun expand guar gum partnership

In Germany, chemicals and ingredients distribution major Brenntag and Jingkun Chemistry Company have expanded their distribution relationship to include Jingkun’s portfolio of guar gum derivatives for the Beauty & Personal Care industry in France and Germany.

Derived from renewable guar gum, Jingkun’s thickening and conditioning polymers help formulators create high-performing hair care, skin care and cleansing products with excellent conditioning, improved softness and a refined sensory profile.

The deal combines Jingkun’s ingredient expertise with Brenntag’s commercial reach and formulation know-how.

“Jingkun’s expertise in guar gum derivatives complements the Brenntag Beauty & Care portfolio exceptionally well and allows us to offer customers even more innovative, naturally derived conditioning solutions, backed by the local technical support they expect from Brenntag,” Riham Alkhamisi, director of market management for Brenntag Beauty & Personal Care EMEA, said in a press statement.
