Polybion, Natural Urbano launch lighting collection made with cultivated cellulose**

In Mexico, biomaterials firm Polybion and design studio Natural Urbano have introduced Cenit, a made-to-order lighting collection that combines natural ash with Celium, Polybion’s cultivated cellulose material grown from agricultural fruit waste.

Building on the partners’ Lapso lighting exhibit at London Design Festival, Cenit explores the use of renewable materials in interior design through pendant and table lamps that use translucent Celium™ to diffuse light and reveal the material’s natural texture and variation.

Produced on demand, each piece is individually assembled using Celium™ grown specifically for the collection, resulting in unique differences in tone and translucency. The collaboration highlights the potential of cultivated, renewable materials as alternatives for everyday interior products.
