Platts launches daily Dutch Advanced Ethanol FOB ARA barge assessments
In the Netherlands, Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched daily Dutch Advanced Ethanol FOB ARA barge assessments, effective Aug. 3, 2026. This reflects increased market interest in ethanol eligible for Dutch Advanced renewable transport compliance use. Platts assesses a premium to the Ethanol T2 FOB Rotterdam paper market, as well as an outright value, both published in €/cubic meter, with conversions to US$ and €/metric ton.
The assessments reflect undenatured fuel ethanol meeting Platts T2 FOB Rotterdam product purity specification requirements as listed in the specification guide, but produced from feedstocks qualifying as advanced in the Netherlands, including feedstocks and definitions listed in:
· Annex IX A of the Renewable Energy Directive
· Appendix 5 of the Netherlands Energy for Transport Regulation
· Annex IV of the Implementing Regulation
· Material categorized as Annex IX-B under the Renewable Energy Directive is not reflected.
