Xpress Feeders agrees 15,000 ton/year biomethanol offtake agreement

May 11, 2026 |

In the UK, PuriFire Energy has signed a Letter of Intent with Xpress Feeders to supply up to 15,000 metric tons of bio-methanol per year. This is a major step forward in scaling bio-methanol for the global shipping industry. As the world’s largest independent feeder carrier, X-Press Feeders shows that bio-methanol is not a future gimmick, but a present-day solution.
Together, they will explore the supply of 10,000–15,000 tons per year of bio-methanol from PuriFire’s planned facilities, alongside the co-development of port-based production sites across the UK and Europe. By combining X-Press Feeders’ fleet-scale demand with PuriFire’s decentralised production model, the collaboration aims to create a vertically integrated fuel supply chain that can be replicated across key port locations.
