Vopak and Global Energy connect green methanol supply chain
In Singapore, Vopak and Global Energy Trading Pte Ltd have established a cross-border green methanol supply route linking China and Singapore. ISCC EU-certified green methanol is loaded at Vopak Tianjin, China, and received at Vopak Penjuru Terminal, Singapore, for bunkering operations.
Global Energy is licensed by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore to conduct green methanol bunkering. Vopak cites its global terminal network and safety standards as key to enabling growth in alternative marine fuels.
